This is another great location for fishing. We adore the attractive views of the mountains and river at 2nd Dam. Wind Cave is a beautiful hike, but it is a lot longer and requires climbing upward, so it may not be a great choice for young children. The cavern, which is actually more of an exposed archway, is amazing though, and a good questionable spot to rest after the hike.

This lake is located approximately 7 miles from the main canyon road, but definitely worth the drive. The wildflowers in mid- July are stunning. Limber Pine Trail is an easy trail to this giant tree.
